There's something about the evening's last cigarette. When you're in your pajamas. And you smoking is done for the day. It's so peaceful, so quiet. You can hear every sound. Tobacco crackling. The pop of the filter between my lips. The gentle hiss as I snap the smoke into my lungs. And my voice, somehow rough and soft all at once.
